Follow Your Canvas
Overview :
Follow-Your-Canvas is a video upscaling technology based on a diffusion model that can generate high-resolution video content. This technology addresses GPU memory limitations through distributed processing and spatial window merging while maintaining both spatial and temporal consistency in the video. It excels in large-scale video upscaling, significantly enhancing video resolution (e.g., from 512 x 512 to 1152 x 2048) while delivering high-quality and visually pleasing results.
Target Users :
This technology is ideal for video producers, animators, and content creators who need to enhance the resolution and content of their videos without compromising quality. Additionally, Follow-Your-Canvas offers an efficient solution for post-production teams that require video content enhancement or restoration.
Use Cases
Video producers use Follow-Your-Canvas to enhance the resolution of historical video footage for modern HD displays.
Animators leverage this technology to create complex animated scenes, extending video content and improving production efficiency.
Content creators employ Follow-Your-Canvas to produce high-resolution video content for social media platforms, attracting more viewers.
Features
High-resolution video upscaling: Significantly enhances video resolution, such as from 512 x 512 to 1152 x 2048.
Distributed processing: Addresses GPU memory limitations by distributing tasks across multiple spatial windows.
Spatial and temporal consistency: The generated video content maintains consistency in spatial layout and time sequence with the source video.
Rich content generation: Capable of producing diverse and rich video content, enhancing both viewership and informational value.
Diffusion model foundation: Based on diffusion models, it improves the quality and realism of generated content.
Layout encoder: Utilizes layout encoders and relative area embeddings to align generated layouts with the source video.
How to Use
1. Prepare the source video file, ensuring the video quality meets the upscaling requirements.
2. Select an appropriate spatial window size to accommodate GPU memory and processing capabilities.
3. Encode the source video using a layout encoder to generate layout features.
4. Calculate the relative area embeddings based on the areas of the video content that need enhancement.
5. Input the encoded source video and relative area embeddings into the Follow-Your-Canvas model.
6. The model will generate the enhanced video content and merge it with the source video.
7. Check the generated video content to ensure spatial and temporal consistency.
8. Further edit and optimize the generated video as needed.

Animate Anyone
Animate Anyone aims to generate character videos from static images driven by signals. Leveraging the power of diffusion models, we propose a novel framework tailored for character animation. To maintain consistency of complex appearance features present in the reference image, we design ReferenceNet to merge detailed features via spatial attention. To ensure controllability and continuity, we introduce an efficient pose guidance module to direct character movements and adopt an effective temporal modeling approach to ensure smooth cross-frame transitions between video frames. By extending the training data, our method can animate any character, achieving superior results in character animation compared to other image-to-video approaches. Moreover, we evaluate our method on benchmarks for fashion video and human dance synthesis, achieving state-of-the-art results.
